DO YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH NUTRITIONAL SUPPLEMENTS?

Yes. For more than 25 years, I have been writing informatively and persuasively about innovations in pharma, nutritional supplements (e.g., genistein and HMB), and biotech as a patent practitioner. During that time, I have interfaced with inventors, business and technology transfer managers, investors, and lawyers around the world. And I have worked with solo inventors, start-ups, spin-offs, universities, corporations ranging from small to Fortune 100, and the federal government.

WHAT ARE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS AS A COPYWRITER?

I have completed AWAI’s Accelerated Program for Copywriting, AWAI’s Secrets of Writing High Performance B2B Copy (presented by Steve Slaunwhite), and AWAI’s Crash Course in B2B Content (presented by Gordon Graham). I also am certified in guest blogging by Jon Morrow.

DO YOU HAVE ANY OTHER QUALIFICATIONS?

Yes. I have a B.S. in Biology, with minors in chemistry and psychology. I’ve also taken quite a few undergraduate classes in physics. In addition, I have a Ph.D. in Biology and a J.D.

WHAT KINDS OF PROJECTS DO YOU HANDLE?

I handle a variety of content and copy projects. I particularly like working on multi-faceted projects involving research and in-depth writing and content that can be re-purposed.

DO YOU OFFER MARKETING STRATEGY AND CONSULTING SERVICES?

Yes. If you feel like your marketing efforts have been derailed, I’m more than happy to review your website and your marketing materials and share my thoughts with you. If you like, I can even put a plan together for a strategy to move forward and get your efforts back on track.

Likewise, if you have content or copy that you’re not satisfied with but don’t know how to make it better, I can review it and provide a critique. If you like, I can even revise it or re-purpose it.

CAN YOU HELP EDUCATE RETAILERS ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS?

Yes. Breaking down the walls between sales, marketing and education is an often-overlooked component of marketing success.  The value of retailers is largely dependent on the information they can provide to consumers.  I can prepare materials that educate retailers about your company’s products and messages.  The materials shorten the learning curve for retailers and increase their retention and recall of product information.

CAN YOU ALSO EQUIP OUR RETAILERS WITH MARKETING MATERIALS THAT HELP THEM CONVEY INFORMATION ABOUT OUR PRODUCTS TO CUSTOMERS?

Yes.  Brochures, one-pagers, posters and infographics are examples of useful tools.  The transfer of information from retailers to consumers can be reinforced and/or supplemented with online content that consumers access, for example, by scanning codes on product labels or store shelves.

DO YOU CHARGE BY THE HOUR OR BY THE PROJECT?

I charge by the hour for marketing strategy and planning. Everything else is on a project basis. I realize that the money you spend on content marketing and copywriting is an investment. I think you’ll find the cost of investing in the work that I do to be reasonable. ROI is foremost in my mind in everything I do.

WHAT IS YOUR TURNAROUND TIME?

Turnaround time depends on factors such as the project goal, the extent of deliverables, the amount of research involved, and whether or not the work is being done on a rush basis.  Generally speaking, turnaround time is a matter of days to weeks – not months.

WHAT HAPPENS IF WE WANT TO REVISE WHAT YOU’VE DONE?

No problem.  I accommodate requests for two rounds of revision for every project.  Based on my experience, little, if any, benefit is realized with more than two rounds of revision.  All I ask is that revisions are requested within 10 business days of receiving a draft and that the revisions do not alter the scope or the objective of the project.

Minor revisions will be made as quickly as possible, generally within 1-2 business days.  More extensive revisions may, and likely will, take longer.

In all cases, I recognize that I am writing for your customers and will defer to you as much as possible.  If I have concerns about a requested revision, I will voice my concern.  If it is possible to do a simple A/B split test in such a situation, I will recommend doing so; otherwise, I will accept your decision as the final call.
